Airam
Airam, originally Veljekset Scheibert (Brothers Scheibert), manufactures high quality light sources and luminaires. The Finnish company was established in 1921 and got its current name seventeen years later. Airam’s product line also includes the red thermos bottle, a classic in Finnish households since 1934. In its early years Airam gained international recognition for the light scoreboard the company designed for the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki and the WIR 105 lamps that brought designer Tapio Wirkkala the Grand Prix at Milan Triennale in 1960. Airam, in collaboration with Artek, re-launched the WIR lamps with modern LED technology in 2013.
