Description

Alessi’s The Tending Box mixing kit consists of five premium-quality bar tools for making drinks and cocktails. All pieces are dishwasher safe and made in Italy using stainless steel.

  • Mixing glass: an elegant cocktail mixing glass with a capacity of 23.67 x 0 fl oz (70 x cl. cl).
  • Double bar strainer: features two springs with different pitches for filtering.
  • Quadri Combo jigger: a 4-piece jigger with a central ring and four dosers with capacities of 0.51 x 0 fl oz (1.5 x cl, cl), 1.01 x 0 fl oz (3 x cl, cl), 1.35 fl oz (4 cl) and 2.03 x 0 fl oz (6 x cl. cl). 
  • Mixing spoon: a sleek spoon with precise balancing and an eye-catching design.
  • Bâton Lélé stirrer: a reinterpretation of the traditional Caribbean stirrer, a ridged grip on the stem.

Created in collaboration with designer Giulio Iacchetti and mixologist Oscar Quagliarini, The Tending Box bar accessories are designed for both home and professional bartenders. The plain yet characterful design language of the mixing kit exudes quality and professionalism. The Tending Box makes a great gift for anyone who enjoys well-made drinks and well-made design.

Giulio Iacchetti

Giulio Iacchetti is a renowned Italian designer, who has created designs for Alessi, Artemide and Fontana Arte, among others. In addition, Iacchetti has worked as Art Director for several companies such as Moleskine. Giulio Iacchetti’s work is characterized by the ingenious use of new innovations and the recreation of everyday objects by giving them new, surprising forms and details.

The designer has been awarded with the prestigious Compasso d’Oro award twice in his career: first in 2001 for the biodegradable Moscardino spoon/fork designed together with Matteo Ragni, and in 2014 for the Sfera manhole covers designed for Montini with Matteo Ragni.
