Fredericia’s Taro is a robust oak table that will find its place in the dining area as well as in the meeting room. Designed by Jasper Morrison in 2016, the Taro collection was created to utilize better the valuable, knotless oak wood used in many of Fredericia’s pieces. The prime-grade wood comes from trees that have grown for about 150 years. Taro’s tabletop is made of narrow staves that give the table a vivid surface resembling traditional plank tables. During the time, the table will develop a beautiful patina. Taro table has been manufactured in Denmark.

Designer
Jasper Morrison (b. 1959) is one of the most successful industrial designers of his generation. He is known for an esthetic and quietly humorous style that often aims at understated everyday functionality. A graduate from the Kingston Polytechnic and Royal College of Art, Morrison opened his own studio in London in 1986, and today he has offices also in Paris and Tokyo. He has designed products from tableware to tram systems and collaborated with brands such as Alessi, Vitra, Nikari, Flos, Fredericia and Iittala. Morrison’s work has been exhibited around the world, and in 2001 he was awarded the Royal Designer for Industry distinction by the British Royal Society of Arts.
