Metsä/Skogen's soy wax candles are an eco-friendly alternative to traditional stearin candles, as burning soy wax does not release contaminants into indoor air. The candles are cast in Finland into jars, and the artisanship has been left to see on the rough surface of the candle and in the slightly tilted wick. The candles contain natural essential oils that give the candle its scent of Finnish summer: delicate aromas of citronella, lemon grass, rosemary and eucalyptus float to the air when you light the wick. The unique candle heart is made of aspen wood and burns with a cozy crackle. The soy wax candle is adorned with lavender.
The soy wax candle requires a little more care and maintenance than traditional candles, but the gentle flame and ambience are worth it. With each burn, let the candle burn long enough for the wax surface to melt around the edge. Please note that the candle should not be burnt for more than three hours at a time and that before lighting, the charred part of the wick should be cut. The burning time Metsä/Skogen's soy wax candle is about 25-30 hours when used correctly. The jar can be reused when the candle is burnt out.
