Fogia's Retreat sofa has a soft and intimate look that invites you to sink into its deep embrace. The seat of the sofa drops down, almost to the floor, hiding the oak legs from view. There's enough space for two people to sit in comfortably, and three if you want to get a little bit closer to each other.
Designed by Monica Förster, the sofa has a modern yet timeless design that is suitable for many spaces and different décors, from private homes to public spaces as well.
Monica Förster (born 1966) grew up in northern Sweden and studied both in Stockholm's Beckmans College of Design and Konstfack. She has since earned a position as one of Sweden’s leading designers as she has worked with several internationally known and honored brands. In her works, Förster combines a deep understanding of pure form and a never-ending interest in new materials and techniques. Monica Förster has won numerous awards in her career, including the prestigious Bruno Mathsson Prize in 2021. In the same year, she was named Designer of the Year by Elle Decoration Sweden – as she was in 2008 and 2015.
