Description

The Marimekko Seireeni mugs feature an abstract motif designed by Maija Isola in 1964. She created the pattern after a trip to Greece, where she felt inspired by the movements of the sea. The name of the pattern, which translates to “siren”, is a reference to Greek mythology: sirens were creatures thought to lure sailors to shipwreck with their beautiful singing.

Made of brown stoneware, the mugs are sold in a set of two and come packed in a lovely gift box. The Seireeni mugs are part of Sami Ruotsalainen’s clean-lined Oiva tableware collection that provides effortless elegance to both casual and festive occasions.
