HAY’s Kofi coffee table, designed by Martin Solem, is part of a charming table range with each member featuring a clean-lined wooden frame and a glass top. The frame of the Kofi table is made of sustainably produced solid wood with water-based lacquer, and the top is available in clear, colored and reeded glass.

Thanks to the timeless yet modern combination of wood and glass, the Kofi tables are suited for a large range of home decors and public environments, with plenty of size options for both larger and smaller rooms. Martin Solem

Martin Solem (b. 1985) is a Copenhagen-based Norwegian designer who has worked for brands such as Hay, Skagerak and Rud. Rasmussen. Solem moved to Denmark inspired by the classic Danish design, and he graduated from the Royal Danish Design School on 2014.

“As a designer, I always try to be innovative, but I might be a bit old fashioned in my thoughts of design. For me, a product has to be realistic and useful to be called good design. What I try to do is to combine these basic thoughts with new innovative ideas,” Solem describes his work.
