Chris Martin designed the Crown armchair for Massproductions in 2012. The stylish yet playful Crown armchair unites a durable steel frame with a padded seat upholstered with gray fabric. The airy backrest of the armchair is firmly attached to the armrests with a concealed steel joint. The Crown armchair is an eye-catching armchair that completes the style of any space with its beautiful design.

Coming up with a product name is often a process in and of its own. This time, it came naturally according to the designer Christ Martin:

“We didn’t have a name for the product, and at one point the factory owner picked up the backrest for assembly. I said 'It's time to put the hat on', to which he replied 'No, this is a crown'. He placed the crown on the shoulders of the chair. It was like a coronation; we knew instantly that we found the right name for it.”
