Normann Copenhagen's Coil pendant lamp catches the eye with its simple and light yet absolutely stunning design. The light source of the Coil pendant light is circled by a large, rounded steel wire coil, which adds geometric, sculptural flair to the design. When the light is off, Coil is like a work of art floating lightly in the air – and when the lamp is turned on, the metal wires will take on a warm glow that reflects the colors of its surroundings.
When designing the Coil collection, Simon Legald aimed at creating as much volume as possible with as little material as possible. This resulted in the collection's mesmerizing forms, with the metal wire loops and empty space between them becoming equally important elements. The Coil pendant lamps are best suited for places where they have some empty space around them, such as above a dining table, or a living room or lobby with a high ceiling. If the space is ample enough, you could even combine lamps of different sizes to form a unique arrangement.
