Description

The VV Cinquanta suspension lamp by the lighting brand Astep combines two sleek, angular arms with two shades that can both swivel and tilt. You can use the lamps as direct spotlights or reflect the light from a wall or ceiling. The bold and sculptural ceiling light looks stunning in any room with a high enough ceiling, be it the living room, office or kitchen.

The Cinquanta lighting collection is a masterpiece by the Italian architect Vittoriano Viganò from 1951. The modern and lightweight design of the Cinquanta lamps was well ahead of their time, and their refined appearance is perfectly suited for all kinds of contemporary interiors. The Cinquanta lamps are manufactured in Italy using durable, high-quality materials.

Vittoriano Viganò

Vittoriano Viganò (1919–1996) was an Italian architect and designer based in Milan. He graduated from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1944, and had there a long career as a Professor in Interior Architecture and Urban Planning. He also worked as an Art Director of Arteluce for several years. Viganò always kept his eyes open to new emerging currents, and became known as a skilful interpreter of rationalist and brutalist architecture.
