Pihlgren ja Ritola | Birger Kaipiainen
Pihlgren & Ritola is a Finnish wallpaper factory that was established in 1930. The wallpapers, made from Finnish paper, have been manufactured with a rotary printing press since the 1950s. The method itself dates back to the first half of the 19th century. Pihlgren & Ritola’s collection includes styles from historic eras as well from the last century. The most noteworthy patterns are the ones designed by renowned Yki Nummi, Erik Bruun, Rut Bryk, Lisa Johansson-Pape, Birger Kaipiainen and Annikki and Ilmari Tapiovaara in the 1950s.
