Description

Wästberg’s Alma wall lamp boasts a fascinating design that entices you to take a closer look or perhaps even touch its wavy matte finish. The luminaire is made of spun aluminium, with its look completed by a silver crown light source.

Alma's design may be subtle and understated, but by no means is it dull. The gently undulating lamp, designed by the Swedish duo Tham & Videgård, is inspired by world of physics; the sine wave, to be exact. The form could also be interpreted as ripples in the water caused by a pebble thrown in. The wavy surface creates a captivating play of light and shadow even in daylight – Alma is much more than a wall lamp: it is a work of art that catches the eye even when the light is turned off.
