The NL 12 pendant by DCWéditions is in itself a simplified, but at the same time surprisingly versatile luminaire: it consists of twelve borosilicate glass tubes mounted on the ceiling by aluminium brackets. The appearance of the aluminium circles is reminiscent of the gymnastics rings – this creates an interesting contrast between athletic aesthetics and the delicate design language of the pendant lamp. Only one of the glass tubes acts as an actual light source, while the others around it transmit light by reflecting it. The sculptural luminaire brightens up the kitchen and is the most effective above the dining table, where it hangs majestically to watch and admire.
