Description

The Hohto sauna pillow by Lapuan Kankurit completes a relaxing sauna moment with its comfort and beautiful Hohto pattern, designed by Elisa Defossez Kikuchi. Made from ecological linen and organic cotton, the sauna cushion is filled with fire-safe polyester fleece and upholstered with linen-cotton fabric. The material feels wonderfully soft against the skin but does not burn in the heat of the sauna. This multi-purpose cushion can also be taken on a longer trip as a travel pillow.

The fabric of the Hohto cushion is woven in Lapua's own weaving mill in Ostrobothnia, Finland. The pillow's fire-safe wadding also comes from Ostrobothnia, a town called Jalasjärvi.

Notes
Keep away from the hot stove. Do not sleep in the sauna. Remember to take the textiles out of the sauna always after use, do not dry textiles inside sauna.
Care instructions
Wash the new textile before use. Delicate laundry wash at 40°C. Wash separately. Avoid softener and bleach. Do not tumble dry.

Elisa Defossez Kikuchi

Elisa Defossez Kikuchi (b. 1996) is a Belgian-born designer living in Helsinki and working in the field of fashion and textiles. She studied product design in Brussels and then continued her studies at Aalto University in Helsinki, focusing on textile design. In 2021, she founded her own design studio, which operates in both Finland and Japan. For Defossez Kikuchi, warmth and cosiness are important values, which she strives to bring into people's daily lives.
