Description

Vaarnii's AA side table, designed by Kwangho Lee, consists of three seemingly simple elements stacked on top of each other: a slat functioning as the tabletop, slanted legs forming an inverted V-shape, and an entire log in the middle. However, joining the three is no simple task, as it actually requires a lot of skill and know-how from the carpenters.

Crafted from Finnish pinewood, the fascinating design will become even more interesting over time, as the natural oils and resins of the wood will react to UV rays and slowly turn the table’s colour into a lovely honey shade. Pine is also softwood, meaning that scratches and dents are bound to form on the surface. Vaarnii encourages you to embrace these imperfections and see them as characterful signs of ageing that only add to the allure of the piece. The multifunctional small table also works well as a stool or bench.

Notes
Pine is a soft wood and will suffer some dents and scratches over time, which should be embraced and enjoyed as characterful signs of aging. Pine will naturally change color as it ages with your pale piece of furniture gradually maturing to a beautiful honey color over the course of several years.
