Foscarini's Lumiere Nuances is a charming, beautifully coloured version of the Lumiere table lamp designed by Rodolfo Dordoni in the 1990s. When creating the original design, Dordoni aimed at a modern interpretation of the archetypal table lamp with a foot and a lampshade.
Just like previous iterations of the luminaire, Lumiere Nuances features a mouth-blown glass shade and an aluminium tripod base, but the design has been updated with new colourways and a new bulb base: the smaller size now has an E14 base and the bigger one an E27 base. The colour of the shade matches that of the tripod, giving off a uniform look when the lamp is turned off. When the light is turned on, however, the shade is illuminated with a warm, bright yet gentle light.
