Description

Nikari’s Basic table is characterised by a minimalist design in which the material takes centre stage. “My design process began by thinking about a timeless table setting, the beauty of wooden surfaces and joinery details,” designer Jenni Roininen has said. The Basic table is part of Nikari’s timeless Café collection whose designs can be used in a variety of spaces from homes to offices and restaurants. The table seats up to 8 people.

Nikari products are made in Finland using only certified wood.

Jenni Roininen

Jenni Roininen (born 1973) is a Finnish designer who, since 2011, has been the creative director of the Finnish furniture brand Nikari. She holds a master’s in furniture design from University of Art and Design in Helsinki, Finland. Roininen is known for her minimalist, timeless designs that always convey a deep respect for the materials used. In 2021, Roininen was chosen as Designer of the Year in Monocle's Design Awards.
