Founded in 1968 by electronics engineer and lighting enthusiast Benny Frandsen, the company had humble beginnings – Frandsen initially ran the business from his own basement. That same year, the release of the iconic Ball lamp marked the start of Frandsen’s success, and the brand has since become a pioneering name in lighting design, gaining international recognition. Today, the company continues to follow Benny Frandsen’s path, creating forward-looking lighting designs inspired by Nordic design traditions in collaboration with contemporary designers.
