Arabia's Tuokio napkins feature a pattern that is both modern and nostalgic, both delicate and strong. For the details of the Tuokio decoration, design agency Helorinne & Kallio sought a hand-painted impression as a tribute to the traditional decorations of Arabia ceramics; it infuses the pattern with a rhythm in which the brushstroke, the feel of the artist’s work, is strongly present. The name of the pattern, Tuokio, Finnish for "moment", describes the intensity of time – a special and memorable instant.
The napkins measure 33 x 33 cm, and their red pattern strikes the perfect balance between timeless and festive: in addition to the holiday season, they can very well be used all year round.
