Description

The Rib cabinet by Normann Copenhagen boasts a timelessly minimalist design inspired by the architecture of Nordic summer houses. Designed by Simon Legald, the oak-veneered cabinet is decorated with wooden slats that resemble the cladding of a sommerhus, stuga or kesämökki. Thanks to the push-open latches on the doors, the cabinet has no handles, making the overall design as harmonious as a breezy summer’s day spent idling away at the vacation home.

The Rib cabinet can be used as a wardrobe in the bedroom or as a kitchen storage solution for all your everyday essentials. The shelves are removable and adjustable.

Simon Legald

Simon Legald (b. 1986) is a Danish designer and Head of Design at Normann Copenhagen. Graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2012, Legald began his long and productive collaboration with Normann Copenhagen shortly after. His designs blend traditional craftsmanship with industrial techniques, focusing on modern simplicity and a precise balance between functionality and visual aesthetics. One of Legald's best-known works is the Form chair collection, which received the iF Design Award in 2016.

    Kaunis ja hyvin tehty kaappi. Hienoa designia. Onneksi tuli koottuna, vain jalat piti ruuvata kiinni. Emme olisikaan osanneet laittaa kaapin ovien lukkoja, mutta oli onneksi valmiiksi asennettuja.
