Description

Iittala's Play bowl is adorned with pastel shades that brighten up the décor of your home even on cloudier days, and look even more beautiful when light glows through the colourful glass.  The bowl's gentle, organic shape is created by mouth-blowing at the Iittala glass factory, adding a handmade touch that makes each bowl one-of-a-kind. The stylish decorative bowl offers the perfect spot to keep your most cherished treasures and special day-to-day items.

The decorative bowl is part of the Play range which updates Iittala for a new era. Glowing in sun-inspired colours, the collection is inspired by Alvar Aalto's famous quote: "Don't forget to play!" And playfulness, indeed, is what these ceramics, textiles and glassware will bring home! As usual for Iittala, the cups, mugs and decorative objects in the Play series are easy to combine not only with each other but also with other tableware in the home.

Anne Hirvonen

Anne Hirvonen is a Finnish furniture designer who draws her inspiration from the everyday dynamics of city life and the serenity of nature. She is on a continuous quest to experiment with new techniques, materials and shapes, and always trying to develop her skills. Her diverse educational background is already an example of this: she started her journey at Omnia Vocational School where she studied as a Wood artisan. Then her passion for design led her to Lahti University of Applied Sciences, where she honed her skills in Furniture Design and continued to Aalto University, earning a Master’s degree in Contemporary design. Lately, Hirvonen has been interested in working with glass which she sees as challenging but fascinating material.
