The Frame chair by Woud merges a minimalist form with a comfortable seating experience. Designed by Mario Tsai, the armchair is composed of a tubular metal frame and upholstered cushions whose gentle curves are designed to conform to the human body.
Inspired by Chinese cities, the chair borrows its slender form from scaffolding surrounding many of the buildings. The inspiration behind the design is particularly evident in the chair’s metal frame and its horizontal and vertical lines that highlight and contrast the softly curved seat and backrest. Due to its seating comfort and stackability, the Frame chair is equally well suited to be used as a dining chair as it is in various public spaces or offices and conference rooms.
