Kent Johansson

Kent Johansson is the man behind the story of Swedish manufacturer Maze. In 2003, Kent Johansson, who worked as a photographer, was looking for a compact bedside table for his tiny apartment in Stockholm. One which would not take too much space and would be as versatile as possible. However, he returned home empty-handed time and time again, and finally decided to craft the bedside table he had envisioned himself. Johansson's mission resulted in the F shelf, which later became Maze's first product. The shelf is still known today as an inventive and understated example of Nordic design.
