Jean Pauchard
Jean Pauchard continued to run the French company Tolix with his brother Andre after the sudden death of their father Xavier Pauchard in 1948. In 1952 they divided the company so that Jean took over the Tolix furniture brand and he established the eponymous company. In 1956 Pauchard design a armchair to go with the Chaise A chair by his father. Based on the Chaise A he named the armchair A56. Over 50 years later the A56 armchair is one of the most influential metal furniture pieces of our time.
