Normann Copenhagen's Rar is a versatile armchair seamlessly adaptable to diverse settings and preferences. Named after the Danish word for "pleasant", Rar showcases a simple yet elegant aesthetic with the name cleverly nodding to both its seating comfort and the uncomplicated design.

Conceived by Simon Legald, the Rar lounge chair boasts clean lines and meticulous attention to detail, just as you would expect from the Danish designer. The fabric-upholstered Rar comprises select premium elements to cultivate an atmosphere of casual sophistication: the armchair is simultaneously refined and inviting.

Simon Legald

Simon Legald (b. 1986) is a Danish designer and Head of Design at Normann Copenhagen. Graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2012, Legald began his long and productive collaboration with Normann Copenhagen shortly after. His designs blend traditional craftsmanship with industrial techniques, focusing on modern simplicity and a precise balance between functionality and visual aesthetics. One of Legald's best-known works is the Form chair collection, which received the iF Design Award in 2016.
