Marset's Sips is a rechargeable and cordless table lamp designed by Christophe Mathieu, who has created several lighting designs for the Spanish brand. For Sips, he sought inspiration from the style of the Memphis Group, which added vibrancy to the world of design in the 1980s. The portable lamp plays with rounded shapes, consisting of two hemispheres with a thin pole running between them.
According to Mathieu, the shade's modest size stems from his desire to avoid visual barriers between diners. The height of the product is equally well thought out – at about the height of a wine bottle, it provides atmospheric, glare-free light from just the right angle.
Sips is easy to charge with the included USB-C cable, and its light intensity is adjustable to three different levels of illuminance. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, Sips' sleek design is at home in public spaces and private homes alike.
