Description

Catellani & Smith's Lederam Manta S1 pendant lamp combines a gold and white shade, reminiscent of a manta ray, with a round, golden lamp head placed below it. An integrated dimmable LED module in the head casts a soft, warm glow that reflects off the golden surface. With its striking sculptural form and glare-free lighting, the Lederam Manta pendant is ideal for illuminating a dining table or lounge area.

In Enzo Catellani's Lederam collection, sharp geometric lines, softly floating shapes and luxurious materials take centre stage. Despite its minimalist ethos, the Lederam series captivates in any space, and its clean forms work beautifully both individually and in grouped arrangements. Each Lederam lamp is handcrafted in Italy.

 Enzo Catellani

Enzo Catellani (b. 1950) is an Italian lighting designer and the founder of the lighting company Catellani & Smith. A self-taught designer, Catellani began his career by crafting lamps in his own workshop in Bergamo. His designs gained popularity at the 1989 Ambiente fair in Frankfurt, leading him to establish his own company that same year. Catellani's design philosophy emphasises the interplay between materials and light, technical quality, and a sense of playfulness, with a focus on creating lights that evoke emotion and set a mood. His lamps and installations can also be found in London's Victoria and Albert Museum and in the garden of the Milan Triennale.
