Description

The Coil coat rack, designed by Lars Tornøe for Muuto, was inspired by the shape of a rolled-up sheet of paper, with a row of coat hooks protruding from the middle of the coil. Made of anodised aluminium, the coat rack is easy to customise by moving, adding or removing the hooks to best suit your storage needs. The coat rack measures 60 cm in width.

Lars Tornøe

Lars Tornøe is a Norwegian designer who has a master's degree in Furniture and Spatial Design from the Bergen National Academy of the Arts. In 2006, Tornøe and his colleague Atle Tveit established the design studio Tveit & Tornøe. One of their most famous designs of their collaboration was the wall hook collection The Dots for the Danish brand Muuto.

Today, Tornøe runs his own studio and designs furniture, luminaires and interior products for various Scandinavian brands. Tornøe has been awarded with several design awards such as the Award for Design Excellence by the Norwegian Design Council and Designer of the Year by Bo Bedre magazine.
