Description

Georg Jensen’s Bernadotte teapot is a stylish way to serve tea at the breakfast table or at a tea party. Made of porcelain, the stylish pot is decorated with the delicate grooves that characterize the entire Bernadotte series. The jug has a steel tea filter which helps you to make tea: just fill the strainer with your favourite tea, place it back inside the jug and wait for the delicious warm drink to brew.

The Bernadotte collection is a true Scandinavian design icon, and even today one of the most popular Georg Jensen collections. The elegant collection is named after its original designer, the Swedish Prince Sigvard Bernadotte. The first products in the collection were designed in the 1930s when the design world was heavily influenced by the functionalist movement. Characteristic of both the era and the designer, Bernadotte beautifully combines practicality with clean-lined elegance. Bernadotte is the perfect choice for all design enthusiasts who value quality and beautiful, timeless design.

Sigvard Bernadotte

The Swedish prince Sigvard Bernadotte (1907-2002) was an internationally recognized designer, illustrator and industrial designer. In 1929 Bernadotte saw the exhibition of Gunnar Asplund in Stockholm which was the breakthrough of functionalism. This inspired Bernadotte to act by the ideals of the functional design. Shortly afterwards Bernadotte and Georg Jensen started a long cooperation, where functionalism was visible in modern silver objects.

The most beautiful teapot I've had. Seems small but it actually holds quite a bit of tea :) Gorgeous shape and I like that the tea infuser is stainless steel and easy to remove and clean!
