Designer
Maleke Bjelke is a Danish sculptor whose work derives from long experience from the theatre world. Her sculptures often model different human characters, mindsets and thoughts, and the interaction of a figure and the surrounding space is also an essential theme in her work. Bjelke graduated from the Danish Design School in 1993, and in addition to sculpting, she has worked with theatre and costumes for over 20 years.

I bought the figurine for my husband's birthday - and also a bit for myself. It has found its place on the dark-wooden bookshelf in our lounge and looks very effective but also 'reflective'. We like it very much!
