Designer
Jørgen Bækmark is a Danish cabinetmaker and designer who worked as head of the FDB design studio between 1958–1967. Born 1929, Bækmark first studied to become a cabinetmaker, after which he studied at Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts to become a furniture designer. According to his design philosophy, furniture must fit people, not vice versa.
