Designer
Kurt Østervig (1912-1986) was a Danish designer who created simple elegance often using natural materials. Originally an educated shipbuilder, Østervig was employed by the design studio E. Knudsen in 1930. Later he ended up establishing his own studio, and in the mid-20th century his works were exhibited in venues such as the Milan Triennale and MoMA New York.
