Designer
Jens Quistgaard (1919–2008) was a Danish designer who is known especially for his contributions to the Scandinavian modernism of the 1950s and 1960s. Quistgaard began his career at his father’s sculptor’s studio, later he became an apprentice for Georg Jensen, and finally the chief designer for the American company Dansk Designs, where he worked for several decades. During his career, Quistgaard was awarded many notable design awards, including the Lunning Prize and gold and silver medals at Milan Triennial in 1954.
