Genelec
Genelec is a Finnish audio monitoring company known for its top-class active speakers. Founded by Ilpo Martikainen and Topi Partanen in 1978, Genelec has since developed a range of innovative technologies and designs, making it an industry leader in audio monitoring. Genelec aims at producing sustainably designed and long-lasting active monitors with clean and neutral sound reproduction, both for professional customers and demanding home use. In 2009, Genelec won the Fennia Prize design award with its 5040A subwoofer designed by Harri Koskinen. All Genelec products are manufactured at the company’s own factory in Iisalmi, Finland.
