The Sniff bowl by Moomin Arabia features one of Moomintroll's best friends on a beach. The illustration is based on Tove Jansson's very first Moomin comic strip from 1954, in which Sniff, dreaming of riches and fame, concocts a youth elixir – or so he believes, as is revealed later in the story. The little creature seen by Sniff's side is called Shadow, who literally shadows Sniff wherever he goes.
