The Lost lamp by Magis boasts a simple yet striking design characterised by a surprising protagonist: the empty space. Created by BrogliatoTraverso, the lamp presents a re-imagination of the conventional lampshade, in which the entire structure is eliminated, leaving behind only the perimeter and creating a fascinating, thought-provoking central void.
To further highlight the unusual design – as if to mark the boundaries of the void – the designers have decided to wrap the lamp's LED light source over the outside of the circle instead of placing it inside the perimeter, as you usually would expect. This complex engineering decision creates a powerful graphic image that makes one think of a black hole or perhaps a lunar eclipse, especially from a certain angle when only a crescent of the light is visible.
The large wall/ceiling lamp has 1406 LEDs that provide a warm white light suitable for a variety of spaces. The integrated touch dimmer makes the lamp even more versatile: just touch the inner perimeter to turn the lamp on and off, or hold a bit holder to dim. This lighting design is not merely a lamp; it is a work of art that sparks your imagination and invites you to create your very own connection to it.
