Description

The Ready chair by Audo Copenhagen is a minimalist seat, designed by Matias Møllenbach and Nick Rasmussen, whose gist lies in its distinctive leg structure that leaves the back open as if floating freely in the air. The Danish designers sought inspiration for the chair from classic cantilever chair designs but wanted it to be as stable as more traditional four-legged chairs – and so, the rear legs of the Ready chair curve diagonally back from the front of the chair, making the chair sturdy yet airy in appearance.

A result of Møllenbach and Rasmussen’s studies on form-pressing techniques, the Ready chair is made of beech and oak veneer with a gorgeous, naturally varied surface that gives the design an additional dose of character and warmth. Due to its compact yet comfortable size, Ready is ideally used as a dining chair, but its stackable structure and row connection feature also allow for a variety of other uses also outside of residential spaces.
