Orthex
The Finnish company Orthex was founded in 1956, when Aulis Kallonen set up a factory in the village of Immula in Lohja, Finland believing in the future of plastic. The first products made by Orthex were clothespins, combs, hand mirrors and eggcups. In the 1960s and 1970s the company grew as the advantages of plastic household products soon came into the awareness of people. Many new products in food storage and serving were taken in production.
