Designer
As the son of a sculptor and an artist, designer Kenneth Bergenblad (b. 1944) can almost be said to have a love of beautiful things in his vein. He is best known for his modern designs and elegant objects that combine practicality with experimentality. Bergenblad's work balances shapes, colours and materials in a timeless and beautiful way.
Bergenblad was born in Sweden and introduced to the world of design while he studied carpentry as a teenager. He completed an apprenticeship in 1965 and then continued his studies at the Copenhagen Academy of Fine Arts. Between 1970 and 1993 he worked for DUX, for whom he designed the internationally successful Spider chair.
