“I love the color options of Lundia's new Knot mirror. The reddish-brown version would be perfect for my entryway, where I have large terracotta tiles and doors in similar tones. The natural wood version is equally charming, and I could see it adding a lovely touch in other spaces – perhaps as part of an art wall. It would also pair beautifully with the apartment’s original pine floors.”

Aino Aalto’s classic

“One of my all-time favorites is Artek's Riihitie planter. Aino Aalto originally designed these pots for her family’s terrace in Munkkiniemi, Helsinki, and 80 years later, Artek reintroduced them to celebrate Finland’s centenary of independence. The planter shines on its own or with a beautiful plant and even works well as a stylish storage piece.”

Lighting à la Tynell

“My favorite is the 1972 pendant lamp designed by Paavo Tynell in the 1950s, now available from GUBI. Its gorgeous bamboo slat shade adds warmth and a nice contrast to the simple triangular design. A small brass detail on the bottom of the shade gives it that perfect finishing touch.”
