Trivets by valerie objects function both as day-to-day utensils and as sophisticated geometric sculptures. Designed by Muller Van Severen, trivets are a perfect example of the design studio's ideology: even if an object is in everyday use, by no means does it have to look boring!
Stripped to the bare minimum, the trivets consist only of a thin steel outline. When not in use, the trivets can be stored on the wall. The mix of different geometric shapes creates a work of art that is simply abstract lines, changing according to how the four trivets are hung on top of each other.
