Pio Manzù
Pio Manzù (1939-1969) was an Italian designer and son of the famous sculptor Giacomo Manzù. His promising career ended suddenly by his premature death at the age of 30. His best-known designs include lamps, furniture and the iconic Fiat 127, one of Fiat’s most successful car models ever launched. Italian art critic Gillo Dorfles has described Manzù as ”one of the most serious inventors of a new current in contemporary Italian design”.
