Description

Wästberg’s Sempé table lamp was named after its designer, the French Inga Sempé. Made of metal, the minimalist luminaire borrows its form from a push pin and, perhaps a little less obviously, from traditional machine tool lighting used in the metal industry.

The Sempé table lamp looks simultaneously weighty and light both in terms of materials and aesthetics: the luminaire consists of a curved shade in aluminium and a metal arm that is slimmer at the bottom, as well as a sturdy base decorated with a cleat. Both the arm and the shade can be adjusted to suit the space and purpose.

In the upgraded version of the luminaire, the shade hides an efficient SMD LED light source that infuses the space with rich full-spectrum light and superior colour rendering. Thanks to the advanced SMD technology, the light is always flicker-free and unaffected by the colour of the shade. The lamp is dimmable.
