Description

Alessi's Sweetheart nutcracker has its origins in the tale of an Australian crocodile carrying the same name. The elegant and minimalist nutcracker, designed by Jim Hannon-Tan, has a crocodile-like front, which is ideal for breaking nutshells effortlessly with a small motion. Sweetheart is made of durable aluminium and fits perfectly in even a small space.

Jim Hannon-Tan

Designer Jim Hannon-Tan was born in 1975 in Spain but grew up in Australia. During his succesful and international career, Hannon-Tan has worked in Melbourne, Amsterdam, London and Milan and co-worked with many famous brands and designers, including Alessi, Magis and Moooi. Hannon-Tan has described finding inspiration for his designs in new technologies, internationality and cultural misunderstandings.
