Designer
Pierre Charpin (b. 1962) is a French designer living and working in Paris. Trained as an artist, Charpin began his work with furniture and object design in the early 1990s, but the artistic background is still visible in his approach to design and in the skillful combinations of form and colour. Besides designing simple and functionalist objects, Charpin also wants to create feelings and sensations with his designs. Charpin’s work has been included in exhibitions and collections around the world, and he was awarded as the Designer of the Year 2017 at Maison & Objet fair.
