Marimekko’s Siirtolapuutarha fabric is made of thick cotton and features a charming interpretation of the lush flora of allotment gardens, as suggested by its Finnish name. The fabric is made of 100% heavyweight cotton, and its repeat measures 116 cm.
Maija Louekari's Siirtolapuutarha ("allotment garden") and Räsymatto ("rag rug") patterns tell stories about country life in an urban environment with a pleasant feeling of nostalgia. Originally released in 2009, the patterns have become classics of modern Finnish design and nowadays they decorate numerous different Marimekko products.
