Description

Montana Furniture’s Kevi 2060 chair roots back to 1958, when Danish architect Jørgen Rasmussen designed the Kevi swivel chair with wheels. In 2016, nearly 60 years after the release of the original Kevi, the popular chair was redesigned into a stackable, four-legged model.

Due to its simplistic design, sleek steel frame and smooth wooden surface, the structure of the chair is both sturdy and light. The comfortable seat is a perfect fit for a wide range of purposes: as a dining chair, at a desk, around conference tables and in cafes. The Kevi 2060 chair is available in several classic as well as deliciously dreamy colours.

Jørgen Rasmussen

Jørgen Rasmussen is a Danish architect born in Odense in 1931. He graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1955. After this, Jørgen and his twin brother decided to start their own studio, focusing especially on single-family houses.

Jørgen Rasmussen is particularly known for his popular Kevi chair collection. In 1965, Rasmussen invented the double wheel caster used on the Kevi chairs, in which the two wheels are placed asymmetrically and rotate independently. For this invention, he was also awarded the ID Prize. The innovative Kevi wheels revolutionized offices and are now used on furniture all over the world.
