Ronan Bouroullec’s Drawing posters feature marker strokes that create fluid, abstract shapes with a fascinating sense of depth and dimension. For Bouroullec, drawing is a relaxing, even meditative process; he lets the felt-tip in his hand flow freely and intuitively on the paper without planning the shapes beforehand. Therefore, the shapes have no clear beginning or end, evoking a variety of interpretations.
Drawing 1 is digitally printed on Chromolux coated matte paper. With this technique, the coloured ink appears matte on the paper’s glossy surface, resembling Bouroullec’s real drawing technique.
