Renzo Piano

The Italian Renzo Piano (b. 1937) is one of the most important architects of the 20th century. He has realized a number of large, eye-catching projects, such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris, Kansai International Airport in Osaka, Japan and San Nicola Stadium in Bari, Italy. He is also responsible for the main layout of the Potsdamer Platz and eight of its buildings in Berlin.

Renzo Piano designed the Piano cutlery for Iittala in 1998. Over the years, he has received a range of prestigious prizes and awards, including the Compasso d’Oro Award, the Pritzker Prize, the Erasmus Award and the Kyoto Award.

    I love this cutlery and wanted to add to my collection as a few have gone missing over time. Unfortunately I accidentally ordered the dessert set and four are no good to me. User error but be sure to check when you order. Since I am based in Australia, it is too expensive to incur two more lots of postage.
