Marimekko’s Räsymatto bathrobe features Maija Louekari’s attractive pattern in black and white. Räsymatto, Finnish for rag rug, depicts the texture of traditional rag rugs in a delightful, graphic manner. The bathrobe is made of soft cotton terry and has large pockets and a detachable belt. Inside of the bathrobe is colour negative of the outside which gives the robe a playful edge.
Maija Louekari's Siirtolapuutarha ("allotment garden") and Räsymatto ("rag rug") patterns tell stories about country life in an urban environment with a pleasant feeling of nostalgia. Originally released in 2009, the patterns have become classics of modern Finnish design.
